Whether building new or remodeling, we’re passionate about ensuring comfort, convenience and control regardless of the owners life stage or circumstances. We preach and practice Universal Design and complementary green building techniques to offer people of all ages and abilities this innovative solution for promoting efficiency and safety. Designing and building to promote accessibility, longevity and energy efficiency is becoming the desired standard in building science. Educating the public is the mission of our social media and this blog, so we welcome your questions and comments.

Two demographic facts drive our cause fostering long-term sustainability and function of residential housing, the median age of all U.S. homes is 36 years (HUD’s American Housing Survey) and our population of elderly will double over the next decade (Census). U.S. homes are old, inaccessible and inefficient with many becoming functionally obsolete during the resident’s occupancy to an extent that some people don’t use or even visit certain rooms inside the house!

Given the scarcity of land, environmental neglect, cost of care and future inflation, BuilderFish recycles houses to accommodate an owner’s life span, so the home ages gracefully with and not against them. Let’s partner to improve residential America to ensure people can live independently and easily in their homes for the duration of their lives.
